After a long drive from Meknes in heavy rain and wind, we were relieved to reach Fes safely. Walking through the wet alleys to the riad was worth it when the door opened onto such a beautiful place. It was our first trip to Morocco, and we loved taking in the decor. The staff were always ready to help, and we're grateful for that.

Breakfast is served downstairs at 8:00 a.m., and there's also a lovely, spacious ground-floor room for anyone who'd rather avoid stairs. If you don't mind climbing, the rooftop patio has a great view. The riad is tucked down a small alley in the Fes Medina, and its woodwork and zellige tiles are beautiful examples of Moroccan craft. Omar was consistently helpful, arranging same-day laundry for our small bag for MAD 40. We also had a great shower, a kettle and small fridge, plus complimentary tea on arrival. The whole place feels like a palace.

The riad is beautiful, the people are really friendly, and breakfast was delicious. It's especially impressive given that supplies have to come in by cart, since cars don't circulate in the old part of town. The dogs barking at night were annoying, though that's not the riad's fault.

Our room was spacious and clean, and we really liked it. Breakfast was nice, with typical Moroccan dishes. The courtyard has mosaic pillars all around and is really interesting to look at. From the alleyways nearby, you get a glimpse of local life. A great place to stay.

Omar, the manager, took great care of us and was such a nice man. When we had to leave early, he even packed breakfast for us to take along. The riad is right in the middle of the Medina, which made it fun to step outside and start exploring straight from our doorstep. It was beautifully kept and had an incredible view across the city. Cultural Morocco Tours booked the location for us.
