Ksar Merzouga

The dunes come right up to the site and look very impressive. It's quieter than the neighbouring sites, which suited us better. Addi at reception gave us a wonderful welcome. The facilities block looked fairly new, was spotless and had plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. There's a nice-looking restaurant on site, which we didn't use, as well as a large indoor seating area. The pool was open but very cold at this time of year. EHU was good, and new points are being added around the site. Thanks to the whole team!

Great place to relax with a campervan, right beside the dunes. The staff are great, and laundry is cheap. We went quad biking at sunset and highly recommend it. You can enjoy the stars at night too.

The balcony had a great view, and the room’s air conditioning worked really well. Water pressure was good too, with hot water available. We also enjoyed the food, both breakfast and dinner had a nice variety and tasted great. The staff were wonderful, especially Muhammad. Our group ran into a problem with the Sahara tour, and he made really good arrangements for us. We got to ride camels and stay out in the Sahara. We also tried quad biking. There’s a large area beside the dining room with a fireplace, which seems like a nice spot for families to gather.

The sunrise over the dunes was incredible, with the sand turning gold and pink. The night before, we sat by the Berber campfire listening to traditional music, and the hospitality made it all feel special. The sky was packed with stars, clearer than anywhere I’ve seen. Riding a camel across Erg Chebbi was peaceful, and the quiet made me feel close to nature. Seeing those golden dunes rise from the Sahara at sunset was breathtaking. Merzouga left me with a lasting memory and an adventure I won’t forget.
