Hotel NOMAD PALACE

The food was good, and the hotel is right beside the dunes, but it’s a long way from anywhere else, so you’re pretty stuck without a car. There’s no internet in the rooms, only in the hot reception area. Cats were in the restaurant, as is usual in Morocco. The staff mostly sat around, and although the gardens were nice, there was litter in them.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nomad Palace during the week of December 25, 2025. Ali took great care of our large group and made the visit special. Thank you to him and everyone on the team: the cleaning crew, cooks and servers, tent and camel handlers, front desk staff and truck drivers. We’ll never forget the experience.

Nomad Palace Hotel is a peaceful place to relax after exploring the desert. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and always willing to help. I especially enjoyed the traditional Moroccan food. The location is ideal for a Merzouga visit and a comfortable Sahara experience. I had a great time and highly recommend it.

We had a really nice night here and would stay again on another trip to Merzouga/Sahara. This is a rustic hotel on the edge of the Sahara, so manage your expectations, it’s not the 4 Seasons. Our tour operator moved us from a different desert tent camp that had Air Conditioned tents to the Nomad tent camp, which didn’t. At 10:30 it was 104 (40c), so we asked to stay at the hotel, which has air conditioned rooms. Management was kind and moved us because they had space. The included breakfast buffet was traditional Moroccan, the pools were delightful and pool towels were provided. There’s also a lobby coffee and soft drink bar that makes a good Americano.
