La Gazelle Bleue

We spent three days here with our camper and found the facilities clean and good. Fresh bread and pancakes arrived at our door each morning. The highlight was the 4WD tour with Mohammed around the area. He took us to authentic places, including tea with a Berber family and some magnificent panoramic viewpoints, while avoiding commercial spots. You drive Mohammed's 4WD yourself, with him guiding from the backseat.

We stayed at the campsite just behind the dunes, and the hosts were super helpful and friendly. Everything was well looked after, with clean toilets and showers that even smelled great. They brought fresh bread and pancakes to our van in the morning, which was so nice. We loved our stay. Step past the campsite walls and you're right in the dunes.

We paid 70 DH to stay overnight in our camper at La Gazella Azuele, which felt very reasonable. The place has a secure enclosed lot with power and water, laundry drop-off, a restaurant, toilets, and hot showers. The staff were welcoming, and there’s a pretty little terrace for sunset. A group from the Netherlands had arrived in caravans too. With the dunes just beyond the gate, my early run was a treat: I watched the sun’s shadows move across the sand while crowds headed out by 4x4 and camel.

Mohammed Hamid and his son made us feel welcome right away, even bringing homemade biscuits when we arrived. The roof terrace was a nice place to eat or watch the camels, and the high walls gave the site a private feel. We enjoyed the food and facilities, and took a 4x4 trip to see fossils and other sights and learn about Berber life. When we left, Mohammed even washed the van. This was one of our favorite places in Morocco because the welcome felt genuine and never pushy. Good luck to you all, and thanks so much XXX.
