To whom it may concern, We are deeply concerned by statements and actions attributed to Mr. Issam, the owner of “Yaqout Camp,” which do not reflect reality or our professional standards. Mr. Issam has made serious allegations about Kasbah Amlal, including claims about how our staff behave and interact with guests. We firmly deny these accusations. They are unfounded and unsupported by evidence. In particular, we reject the false allegation of harassment involving a foreign guest. These claims are fabricated and appear intended to damage our reputation. We maintain strict standards of respect, safety, and professionalism toward every guest. Mr. Issam has no professional, operational, or organizational connection to our establishment, and has no authority to interfere in our affairs or speak on our behalf. We reserve all legal rights to take appropriate action to protect our establishment’s and staff’s reputation if this unacceptable behavior continues. Our institution remains committed to professionalism, respect, and the highest standards of hospitality. We strongly reject any attempt to harm our image or credibility.

The camp’s location is great, right beside the dunes, and the sunset camel ride was beautiful. But after we gave the guide a good tip, he started pressuring us to buy souvenirs. All the camel guides seemed to use the same script about poverty and hardship. The tent looked quite different from most of the advertising photos, so it’s best to ask to see current photos before booking. The hot shower was disrupted, and there’s no heater in the cloth tent. Winter nights get very cold, so you’d need to bring a heater blanket or a camping sleeping bag.

Waking before sunrise to see the light come over the dunes was one of the best parts of our trip. The tents were roomy and cozy, with a surprising level of comfort while still keeping us close to the desert. We also loved the traditional dinner under the stars and Berber music by the fire. From the warm welcome to the clean, thoughtfully designed camp, everything felt genuinely Moroccan and made us feel at home. The sunset over the golden sand was unforgettable, and the staff were attentive, kind, and professional throughout. We’d recommend a stay here to anyone visiting Merzouga who wants adventure, peace, and a taste of Moroccan hospitality.
