Ali helped us plan a walk through the old city based on what we wanted to see, and gave us useful tips since we didn't have a guide. The staff were willing to help with anything we asked during our stay. Big thanks and shukran bizzaf to Ali, Fouzia, Fatima, Ahmed, and the rest of the team. The Riad is a beautifully restored home, with details throughout and an original design dating to 1942. The rooms feel like large bedrooms in a home. One thing to keep in mind is that much of this part of Fez isn't wheelchair accessible, and you'll need to walk almost everywhere. Good GPS helps with finding your way back. Amazing place to stay, 10/10 recommend.

Ali made our stay at Riad Alassala especially memorable. He planned a great one-day walking tour of Fes, and when he heard the heating on the air conditioning wasn't working, he quickly arranged soft, warm blankets. I actually slept better with them than I might have in a stuffy heated room. He also helped organize our onward trip to Rabat and personally walked us through the Old Town to our taxi at checkout, making sure everything was set for the journey. The personal, thoughtful service was outstanding. The riad is right in the heart of the Medina, with everything within easy walking distance. Its striking courtyard, green plants, and decorative white fabrics create a relaxed feel, and the rooftop terrace has a lovely view. Our room was spotless, with a bathroom that had hot water and excellent pressure. The one snag was that the air conditioner's heating function didn't work during our visit. We loved our stay and would be happy to return.

The terrace has a fantastic view, and the riad is in a quiet spot that’s still close to the main attractions. I spent five nights here and loved it. The big hall is bright, spacious, beautifully decorated, and made the place feel like a little paradise. Everyone was professional and attentive, and Ali was especially helpful. I was travelling alone, and his help made a real difference to my stay. My single room didn’t have air conditioning, though, and the internet was very weak.

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were kind, and our third-floor room had a small enclosed terrace looking over the courtyard. It had everything we needed apart from a phone, but we could contact reception on WhatsApp. At sunrise, the rooftop gave us a 10/10 view. We’d seen Fes panoramas elsewhere, but this was probably the best Medina view of our trip. One thing we didn’t like: the private taxi they arranged to the train station cost 150DH. We regretted taking it when we could have walked less than five minutes to the next square and found a taxi for 30DH.

We only came to the riad for dinner, since we were staying elsewhere, but it was a wonderful visit. The food was excellent, and Ali looked after us so well, with a warm welcome and great tips about Fez and things to do around the city. He even showed us around and let us take photos. The artwork and décor were beautifully done. By the end, we wished we’d stayed here instead of at our other riad.
