AMANAR Ouarzazate Boutique Hôtel & SPA

The pool area is lovely, the design is beautiful, and everything is exceptionally clean, with high-quality materials throughout. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. After a run of overrated, poorly maintained riads and so-called five-star hotels in Morocco, finding this place felt like a real blessing. I'm grateful to the owners and managers for doing such an outstanding job!

We stopped here for one night on the way to the desert. It's a brand-new hotel just off the main road, and there are several places to eat within walking distance. Everything was impeccably clean, the staff were lovely, and breakfast was fresh with generous portions.

I stayed in Room 204 last night and barely slept. The AC only blew hot air, pushing the room up to 27 degrees. I told the front desk, and the staff member was polite and offered another room, but that wouldn't have helped: apparently the whole hotel's system was set to hot and couldn't be changed. The manager on duty never came to deal with guests' problems and left the receptionist to handle them. I spent the night waking up to open the doors and cool things down, trying to balance the outdoor temperature against the hot air blowing into the room. Turning the AC off made it stuffy after a while, but leaving the doors open made it too cold. I understand it's winter, but guests should be able to set the room temperature, like at other hotels I've stayed in. A good night's sleep is the bare minimum, and this place failed badly. Avoid it until they fix the broken air conditioning. Save your money and book somewhere with basic comfort and working amenities.

The film history around the place really brings home that Ouarzazate is Morocco's film capital. Everywhere you look feels like a photo spot, and the hotel is so decorated it honestly feels like a museum. The staff were welcoming and really nice, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and luxurious.
