Dar OMNIA

We were welcomed like family as soon as we arrived, and our room was fantastic, with a separate shower and toilet, a living room, bedroom and rooftop. The food was all well cooked, healthy and Moroccan. The chocolate cake may not have been so healthy, but it was fantastic. The house feels like a lovely mix of Moroccan roots and modern design. It's beautiful, well kept and furnished simply, without that hotel feel. The relaxed atmosphere made it a great place to unwind, and there was plenty of inspiration in the design. Two friends and a local chef looked after us. They provided everything included in the stay, plus any help we needed to make things easy. The riad is best reached by GRANDE Taxi from Essaouira, and its location lets you get away while staying close to the city and other attractions. Runners can follow the road to the coastline, where the beach is untouched for miles and the Atlantic puts on a show. Don't be surprised if camels follow your tracks. If you do yoga, there are lots of places to roll out a mat, including the sandy beach. We will be back many times. Thank you ❤️

The hosts were kind and attentive, while giving us plenty of room to ourselves. I always felt cared for without anyone hovering around. Dar Omnia has such a calming feel that I loved my stay enough to add an extra night. It gave me the nourishment I needed. The seafood tajine was the best I had in Morocco. If you're looking for somewhere to reset and maybe go off grid for a little while, I can't recommend it enough.

The food at Dar Omnia was a highlight for me. They make Moroccan dishes with a modern touch, including homemade kombucha and lovely slow-cooked meals. You can ask for all sorts of things, from fresh fruit bowls to custom meals, and I really appreciated that flexibility. I also felt safe, respected and comfortable travelling here on my own as a woman. The peaceful design made it easy to relax by myself, and the team was always reachable on WhatsApp, even without a traditional hotel reception. They responded quickly when I needed taxis, meals or local advice. I liked the quiet, independent, home-like atmosphere. Staff weren't around hovering all day, which suited me and was part of the charm. When I asked for suggestions, the team was kind and took time to show me around Essaouira, including the fish market, medina and some lovely lunch spots. They even arranged a personalised food tour through Essaouira when I asked, which was a stay highlight. I'd definitely come back.

We stayed at three places on our trip to Essauoira, and Dar OMNIA was the best of them. Everyone was helpful and kind, the service was top notch, and the breakfasts were the best in town. The rooms and shared spaces are beautiful, and the people running the hotel clearly care about making guests feel comfortable.
