Nissrine greeted us with such warmth and kindness, and the service stayed attentive and professional the whole time. The grounds are lovely, with a beautiful, authentic garden and a spotless pool that made it easy to relax. Getting to the beach was easy too, and the beach itself is gorgeous. Finding this place in Kabila was one of our best discoveries. We’d happily come back.

The pool was pleasant and clean, and breakfast was satisfying, but the rest of our one-night stay at Kabila Hotel & Spa, May 19-20, was disappointing. The hotel was taking bookings before it was ready for the season. Reception said it hadn’t fully opened yet, and renovation work was still going on around the property. Drilling, hammering, and other construction noise kept happening during our stay. The beach had no sunbeds or umbrellas, despite those appearing in the hotel’s online photos. As a foreign guest staying with my wife, I was asked under local regulations to complete a form in triplicate with my ID number, passport details, full name, and signature. Since it held my personal information, I asked for one copy at checkout, but staff wouldn’t give it to me. The receptionist responded, “We also did not ask you for a marriage certificate.” I found that an uncomfortable and inappropriate way to address a guest. The pool and breakfast suggest the hotel has potential, but it opened before it was properly prepared, and the way staff handled privacy and communication left us with a poor experience.

The beach is only a two-minute walk away. Our receptionist, Mohamed, was very kind, and the service was friendly and on time. The bedroom was spotless, and breakfast was good too. I’d stay there again.

Mosquitoes and cockroaches everywhere. Don't stay here. Our tour group from LGE Singapore came in December 2025, and they put us in this awful hotel. The itinerary said Chefchaouen, but we were driven an hour and a half away. I spent the night killing more than 30 mosquitoes, and couldn’t sleep. They kept biting, so at 4:30 a.m. I asked reception for another room just to get the remaining two and a half hours of rest. Instead, they told me to pack and move. The desk wouldn’t give me another room just to sleep. The service was terrible. I’ve never had a worse hotel night in my life. Even a two-star hotel in Delhi is better. Breakfast was too basic as well, but the mosquitoes were by far the worst part.

Being able to check in early was nice. They couldn’t find my reservation at first and nearly charged me twice, though we got it sorted. The metal detectors seemed to be for show, like at other hotels in Morroco. Security, though, was overzealous about profiling young guests and sometimes followed them around urgently. It felt like too much. There was also a sign banning Burkinis, which I found strange and didn’t like, especially in a Muslim country. For some reason the staff wouldn’t speak to me directly. I politely told them English or Arabic was fine. They also assumed I wasn’t a guest when I came back from the beach, as if I were trying to use the pool. That was cleared up quickly. The AC didn’t work in our room or the next one, and was unreliable in the third room we were moved to. Every room had an odd moldy smell. Mosquitoes bit us at night, so keep the sliding doors closed. I wouldn’t stay again. 2/10.
