The poolside restaurant served good food, and at night there was a lovely scent from some kind of plants. The pool seemed clean, though it was full of kids, and with one of the two pools closed it felt crowded. The apartments were awesome, better than average for Morocco. They had clean cotton bed sheets, the necessary pots, a fridge, oven and jacuzzi bath. Nice place for a longer stay with kids. Clean, calm and pleasant.
The beach views were the best I’ve seen, and the pool was clean, though it had a lot of chlorine. The rooms were average and the beds a bit uncomfortable. Food at the beach cafe « la casa de younes » wasn’t that great. There were lots of loud, spoiled kids around, but the playground did have mini football and basketball courts. So, yeah, it was good overall.
The location works well, close enough to a city and with restaurants and shops nearby to explore. Marina smir is right next door. The rooms feel genuinely homey, and the beach and pools make for a fun time with friends or family. You can rent jetskis to ride on the beach too, which is quite an experience. I’d been to Marina Beach several times before, but my last visit was four years ago.
The check-in guy, "Issam," was really out of line. He wanted to fight me and wouldn’t give me the keys until he saw my family. I only got them after the police got involved. I’d look for somewhere more suitable and friendlier.
There are plenty of play areas for kids, and you can get what you need inside, so there’s no need to go out for food. It feels very secure, and the beach and pools are amazing. This is my favorite place to stay around Mdiq. I highly recommend it!
