People were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room was decent for the price, though the bathroom was a bit disappointing, which seems pretty common in Morocco. And don't try to drive all the way here by following Google directions. You'll get stuck!

Sarah was consistently kind, professional, and helpful. The place felt clean and safe, and it wasn't too expensive. Rabat Medina isn't too far, and Petit Taxis connect to Salé while Grand Taxis go to Rabat.

We had a very good stay. The only hassle was getting there: parking is on the main road, then it's about a five-minute walk through the Medina streets to the raid.

Breakfast came with the stay, and we could have tea whenever we wanted, though there wasn't any other food service. On Sarah's advice, we went to the nearby “Lbourj café restaurant”. It wasn't especially charming, but it was clean and had fresh seafood at the lowest prices you could imagine. She speaks English, French Arabic. We arrived by train from Fez and arranged a transfer even though the station was within walking distance. A friendly taxi driver met us, helped with the suitcases at the hotel, and we booked him again for our departure from Rabat Ville station. From the hotel, Rabat was easy to explore by modern, efficient tram with AC and free Wi-Fi. We even walked back from Rabat using the boat-ferry. The historic building had what we wanted: clean, fairly spacious rooms, a peaceful courtyard and a nice rooftop. Wi-Fi was okay, and the sights of the medina were an easy walk away. The pause during Covid may have interrupted what was becoming a success story.
