Dawliz Rabat Art & Spa

The rooms looked impressive when we first walked in, with large windows and balconies, and they were spacious with good-sized bathrooms. The outside of the hotel, the pool area, and the lobby were attractive too. But there was a lot of wear around the edges, and the carpet badly needed cleaning. My room lost power for several hours, and the air conditioning wouldn't come back on. They offered me another room, but I turned it down because it smelled of mildew. When the AC still wouldn't work, I had to move to a third room for the next few days. I was comfortable there, though I wish it had been cleaner. Our tour operator had chosen the hotel.

The riverside location is beautiful, but the service was weak and the hotel was dirty. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. As soon as we entered our room, a strong mildew smell hit us. We called the front desk several times, but all they did was spray air freshener. The smell got worse when the air conditioner was on, so we switched it off and slept with the patio open on the first night. I was bitten by so many mosquitoes that I asked for a mosquito net for the next night. My tour guide and I asked multiple times, but nothing ever arrived. The number of bites I got was almost horrific.

The breakfast buffet had a delicious spread with lots of choices, and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Hiba and Heba were especially welcoming. Najlae went out of her way to find us a great local restaurant and showed a strong work ethic. Great job, very well done. We stayed from September 11th to 13th 2025. The front desk team helped make the stay comfortable and memorable, and made everything run smoothly. The carpet in our room looked worn in places, with some strings showing. There was also very loud music at night.

A very disappointing, unprofessional experience at Dawliz Hotel in Salé. On 01.11.2025, my friend and I went to the café, but security turned us away, saying it was only for hotel guests. I'd called the management beforehand and confirmed that anyone could use the café without a reservation. After I mentioned that I wear the hijab, the staff sounded hesitant and their explanations contradicted each other. It's an ordinary café, not a nightclub or anything like that, and we're in a Muslim country. This behavior was disappointing for an establishment at this level.
