The Repose

If I could give the service more than five stars, I would. We arrived with high expectations and they still exceeded them. Jan and her family are incredibly welcoming, always trying to make the stay better, and they shared helpful tips for getting around the Medina, where to go and what to avoid. Each room has its own design, and every one is beautiful. We highly recommend staying here.

Our stay was a highlight of the trip. Jan and her lovely family gave us such a warm welcome and couldn't do enough for us. The individually designed rooms have beautiful colors, and breakfast and dinner on the rooftop terrace were delicious. Highly recommend.

Jan and Myriam were truly wonderful hostesses. The Riad is a brilliant place to stay in the heart of Sale Medina, with beautiful rooms that seem recently renovated while keeping a lovely Arab-Moroccan style and atmosphere. The terrace has lovely views over Sale Medina. It's very close to the beach and the markets in Sale, and about a 15-minute walk from the estuary, where you can take a boat across to Rabat for 3dhs.

The blue Chefchaouen room was such a cozy place to settle in, with its little seating areas, and the Moroccan touches made each room feel special. We also loved how The Repose balances its traditional style with small Western comforts. It turned out to be the highlight of our Morocco tour, which we hadn't expected when we booked. The Medina riad has inviting spots on every level, from the courtyard for tea or dinner to the roof terrace where breakfast is served. The family made us feel incredibly welcome and helped with anything we wanted to experience or find out. They speak English, French, Spanish, and Arabic, so it was easy to communicate. They also offer a flavorful multi-course vegetarian dinner and can arrange an in-room massage. We'll definitely be back.
