Agafay Pearl Camp

The service was okay, but the place looked much better in the photos. The shower was cold, and the internet connection was completely unusable. I couldn’t get any work done or use my phone or laptop. I wouldn’t book here again.

We came here for two days to get some quiet after Marrakech and other busy cities, and really enjoyed the peace. The views are lovely, the pool is clean, and the people are friendly and keen to help. The food was very good too. It isn’t cheap, but the privacy and calm made the price worthwhile for us. Bring snacks or alcohol if you want them, and consider taking a 4x4 taxi because the road to camp is quite challenging. I’d happily come back.

The surroundings are beautiful and the view is truly special, which makes what happened all the more upsetting. While we were at dinner, someone went into our room/tent and stole from us. The tent doesn’t lock, and we’d left our wallets inside. By the next morning, around 1000€ was missing. We never got the money back. The place itself is amazing, but be very careful with your belongings if you stay here.

The staff’s kindness really left us speechless, especially Abdul, the manager, who did everything he could to make our stay go smoothly. Dinner with traditional Moroccan music was another lovely part of the evening. And the accommodation was far more than what I’d call a “tent”: it felt like a luxurious room, with breathtaking views over the Agafay Desert. The whole setting had a magical mix of beauty and calm. One of the most incredible experiences of my life. I left enchanted and highly recommend it.
