Jnane Tihihit

A wonderful, magical rural Moroccan experience. Robert has created an authentic and relaxing place. The food was sensational, made entirely from produce grown on the farm, and the set-menu dinner tasted fantastic. We went horse riding across the rocky desert and around the lake. It’s quiet, with not much nearby to do besides relax. If we’d stayed a few more days, we would have explored the town by the lake. Thanks.

The farm’s food was incredible, sourced right there, and the hospitality was lovely. I loved seeing the animals, orchards, garden, and all the different fruit and olive trees. The cottages were cute, the beds comfortable, and the hot water is solar-powered. If you want a real farm where you can unwind, this is the place. I absolutely loved my time here and will be thinking about it for a while. Thank you, Robert, for hosting us on your piece of paradise.

The animals and farm-to-table food were nice, and the rooms were decent. But the road to Jnane Tihihit, about an hour outside Marrakech, was badly damaged and full of rubbish, making the drive challenging. The place didn’t seem well kept. Maybe it was because it had been a bad summer, but the price hadn’t gone down. I think they try to look after the animals better than they’d be cared for on the street, though I’m not sure. We knew there was no lake view, but places by the lake with better rooms cost less than this one.

A friend recommended Jnane Tihihit, and we were glad we went. Robert, the owner, welcomed us and explained how the farm operates, then invited us to look around before lunch in the beautiful garden. We passed the animals and plants that provide ingredients for the restaurant. After the walk, we sat at the prepared table and chose from a simple but exquisite menu, including pork dishes in a true farm-to-table style. The food was tasty, service friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere simple, pleasant, and relaxed. We thought the price was very good for the value. We’ll definitely return when we have visitors again.
