Finding the place takes a bit of work, but follow the green triangles lol. We loved the traditional building and its decor. The food was delicious, and we had both dinner and breakfast there on both nights. Service was good, and though they speak French, we managed to communicate somewhat. The friendly owner suggested a drive and some activities that worked out well. It was too cold for me to swim, but the pool looked wonderful.

I stayed at Dar Lorkam with a small group of women, and we all loved it. The food was delicious and everything was perfect. One waiter, an older man whose name I've forgotten, was especially kind and helpful. I'm sure I'll be back. A Bientot!

The clay construction, like the houses in the oasis, gives the hotel a lovely feel. Spacious rooms look onto a courtyard with a pool. It's hard to reach in a regular car, so from Skoura follow only the green triangles. Other triangles point to different hotels. We chose Dar Lorkam because our guidebook reviewed it well, and were happy we did. Make time for the nearby Kasbah, an amazing place just a short walk away.

The owner came across as arrogant and acted as though he owned people. He was one of the silliest people I've ever met. If you drive 40 km down to boumalen fades, you can find a better location, better hotels and riads with breathtaking views. Stay away from this place.

This was our second visit and we'll be back. Lovely gardens and a pool, wonderful French hosts, great staff and superb food. They serve drinks too.
