Locals Taghazout Surfcamp

We had such a fun time surfing with Momo. He was friendly and made the lessons a great experience. The staff were all welcoming, kind and helpful, and the food was delicious, especially on the rooftop, which had a lovely atmosphere. Our clean, comfortable room added to a wonderful stay at Locals Taghazout Surfcamp. We loved the activities and highly recommend the place. We’ll definitely be back :)

The room was dirty, and after the fuse board blew it smelled of smoke. It made for an unpleasant evening, poor sleep, and clothes that all smelled. On arrival, someone else was in our room, and the airport transfer we’d booked never turned up despite us contacting staff several times. The female receptionist was incredibly rude. The male reception staff were helpful, and the location was a positive, but I wouldn’t return.

I couldn’t relax here and started looking for another place within an hour. The sheets were scratchy, and there seemed to be construction in the room above. Music from the restaurant was shaking the walls from two floors away, even at 2pm. I tried eating there too, but it took 30 minutes to be served and longer for the food to arrive. My waiter was rude, though someone else I eventually spoke to was quite polite. I packed up, found somewhere else, and am having a great time now. You get what you pay for!

The rooftop was a perfect place for lunch or dinner between surfing, and the food was just Amazon. The waiters were really nice and cool. Everything was lovely, and I’ll definitely visit this hostel again.
