Munga Guesthouse

The rooftop was a lovely spot for all of us to gather and watch the sun go down over the Atlantic, and the rooms were beautiful. Both buildings are in excellent locations. We came as a family of eight for Christmas in Taghazout, so I arranged four rooms in advance. Maryam and Hatim were especially helpful over email, helping me choose rooms that suited our group and organizing a minibus to collect us from the airport. One thing I hadn’t understood before arriving is that La Munga is spread across two separate buildings. If you’re traveling as a group, it may be worth trying to stay in the same one. Thanks to the team for making the trip so special.

The breakfast is top notch, so take the quick tour when you arrive to find where it’s served. Munga is spread over three blocks, but guests can use them all. We loved our room, especially the view, and it was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and around when we needed them. Such a gem of a place.

We went to Favela Restaurant twice and had the best Tagines we tried anywhere in Taghazout. The views over the bay are lovely, especially at sunset. This rating is just for the restaurant.

The only small issue was getting out of the shower onto a wet, slippery floor, since there wasn’t a rug. Otherwise, our room was just right, and the staff were attentive and very accommodating from the moment we arrived. We loved staying at Munga Guesthouse and would book there again if we return to Taghazout.
