We picked this place because it was outside the main city, which was what we wanted. It gave us a quiet base with easy access to the mountains. The road into the village is under construction now and should make getting to the lodge even easier once finished. There aren’t shops nearby, as described, so bring what you need, but do enjoy the meals cooked in house. My sons, aged four and five, loved exploring the space, and the beds were cozy and comfortable. Bayder was a great manager: he showed us around, helped us get fires going in the chimneys, and served the delicious meals cooked in house. Thanks to the chef too. We felt right at home. A lovely visit.

The lodge’s atmosphere in a Moroccan village was beautiful, and I’d recommend it to couples or anyone looking for some time to themselves. The house itself is honestly the most beautiful I’ve ever lived in. Our rooms were lovely, the staff were kind and sweet, and the tortoises by the pool were super cute. Breakfast and dinner were amazing and definitely worth the price. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, especially after a few days in Marrakesh. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, and I’ll come back!

The lodge was wonderfully clean and full of character, and the food was unreal. Every staff member was lovely and incredible. We spent four nights in this little piece of heaven and already want to return. It’s a great escape for some peace and a rural, authentic experience in a Berber village, while still only a quick 30-minute drive from the Medina. Tagadert Lodge has captured our hearts!

For a couple of nights of quiet, Tagadert lodge is a great choice. The grounds are peaceful, the architecture is stunning, and the staff made us feel so welcome that the lodge almost felt like our own. A real surprise, and quite magical. We spent two nights there and ate one meal at the lodge. On another evening we went across to Berber lodge, its much more expensive neighbour, to check it out. Honestly, we found the food at Tagadert more thoughtful and delicious. If tranquility is what you’re after, you’ll find it here.
