Taj Omayma

At night, when the lanterns are lit, the villa is breathtaking. Our friends got married here, and from start to finish it was an incredible experience. It’s a beautiful, remote venue with everything you could want or need, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The dining was amazing too, with fresh, fine ingredients and a mix of local flavors and familiar favorites. Watch your step, since the ground can change unexpectedly, with little level changes or steps where you might not expect them. I found that sort of thing common in Morocco. I highly recommend Villa Taj for events or a large group stay.

The wedding celebrations stretched over four days. The first evening was dinner in a tent unlike any I’d seen, with hundreds of candles and lanterns overhead. The next day, after time by the beautiful pool and a rest in our rooms, drums called us to the ceremony beneath the olive trees. It was an emotional moment with friends and family. We then had drinks on a rooftop facing the Atlas Mountains, followed by an incredible dinner and party. Day three brought brunch in the garden before we headed to the desert. We left on the fourth day and spent a while longer in this beautiful country. I’d come from Australia to attend my nephew’s wedding, and the whole experience was the most impressive thing I’ve ever lived through. The villa, its decoration, pool, and surroundings are stunning. After the long trip, the warm welcome from the team and a comfortable room were especially appreciated. It was a five-star wedding, beautifully organized in an incredible place.

The pool house is what makes meetings here so flexible. We’ve used it for presentations and workshops, with long tables for group work or chairs set up theatre-style. It works well for both, and the atmosphere encourages creative, lively discussion. The rooms also suit a range of guests, with a comfortable blend of contemporary and traditional Moroccan design. We’ve just returned from our annual global conference at Villa Taj Omayma, and they amazed us again. Set in the desert with the Atlas Mountains behind it, the villa feels peaceful and has beautiful views all around. Meals and evenings are a big part of the experience, from lunches beneath olive trees to dinners under 1001 lights. This year’s gala had drummers, acrobatics, a fire-eater, and then a DJ who kept everyone dancing. Guests were blown away. They also organize off-site quad biking and desert dinners, and come up with great ideas for the event. We love working with the team. David and Bruno put everything together so well, and Bruno is always there on-site to support us. Marika, the manager, and her team provide excellent service, and Mohammed, the head barman, is incredibly welcoming. The new bar looks gorgeous. We wouldn’t hold our conference anywhere else and can’t wait to return next year. If I could give Villa Taj ten stars, I would.

We hired Villa Taj for our wedding in April 2024, and the venue and team made the whole experience as perfect as it could be. The place really is as beautiful as the photos, maybe even more so. Bruno, the event manager, was fantastic and helped with everything we needed, and more. The facilities were stupendous and the food was delicious. We’ll treasure our time there and those memories forever. We couldn’t recommend it more.
