Hotel El Djenina

I was hesitant to book after seeing so many negative reviews, but my own experience was completely different. The hotel was very clean, felt safe, and had a beautiful location. The staff were kind and friendly, and I especially want to thank the woman who cleaned our room. She waited outside until we left so she could clean it, which showed real respect and care. The air conditioner wasn’t working when we entered the room. They quickly brought us an electric heater and sorted out the problem right away, which I truly appreciated. Thank you all for the wonderful service. I highly recommend this hotel, and think it’s one of the best options in Tangier.

I booked this two-star hotel at the very last minute and was pleasantly surprised. It was simple but neat, spacious enough, and very clean. There were plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. I felt safe traveling alone as a woman, and the location was convenient and felt safe too. Friendly staff, no fuss, just genuine hospitality. The downside of being in such a good spot on a weekend was the noise. As a light sleeper, I barely rested because of wedding celebrations and honking cars. Honestly, I’d rather lose sleep over happy people. There’s enough sadness in the world already.

For a two-star hotel, it delivered what I expected: clean rooms, toiletries, and a shower that worked properly. The staff were always polite and helpful. It’s near the marina and not far from restaurants and bars, though most of the way is uphill. Good and functional.

I highly recommend this hotel, especially for its prime location. You can walk conveniently to the main areas of interest, including Marina Bay, the Corniche, and the Old City. The staff and service were consistently good, which made for a great experience.
