Our group of 12 had booked the penthouse over a month ahead, but it was taken when we got there. With no time to find somewhere else for the night, we accepted another unit at the same place. It was filthy and clearly not fit to stay in: clothes were left on the furniture, dead cockroaches were on the floor, the armchairs were stained, and the sheets were dirty and covered in hair. A leak had flooded the bathroom, and there were just three towels for all 12 of us. They also charged us an extra €40 in tourist tax. We called the contact number to explain what had happened, but no one answered until Sunday, half an hour before checkout. Then they told us to leave the keys under the mat. Booking.com says we didn't show up, and now they want to charge me a penalty. They never came by and blocked me. I can't recommend this at all. The listing wasn't real, and I feel we were lied to and scammed.

The sea and sunset views are panoramic from Residence Iris, right on Malabata Beach. It's a peaceful, secure place, and seems well suited to foreign visitors.
