Ramada Encore by Wyndham Tangier

The bed was only queen size, and we kept rolling toward each other, making both nights uncomfortable. The rooms also feel cramped and need refurbishment. Breakfast was good, and when the lift broke down, staff got us out within minutes and later said it had been fixed. There were no pool towels or gin for a gin and tonic, either. The curtains had black on the outside, possibly mold. All in all, it wasn’t what we expected from a Ramada Hotel.

The price was reasonable, and the staff service was excellent, including the security guard. Especially dear NOUHAILA at reception, kind and focused on customers, always smiling.

It’s easy to get around from here, with the beach, city center, and train station all a short walk away. The hotel was very clean, and the pool felt secure and was clean too, so it was a nice place to relax. Staff were friendly, helpful, and smiling throughout. I highly recommend it!

Breakfast was crowded and had very few options, so we gave up on it. That came after a rough night in a dirty room with no amenities, missing towels, and a dirty mattress. The AC never worked. We told staff as soon as we arrived and were assured it would come on soon because of the heat. They asked us to leave the key at reception so they could fix it, but when we got back around midnight, nobody had even checked. We asked to switch rooms but were told none were available. A technician then spent over an hour in the room without fixing anything, before saying, “It’s cold in Tangier, just open the window,” 😂😂. That was ridiculous and frustrating, and we slept without AC. We’d tried to give the place a chance for one night, but things only got worse. Management needs serious improvement, or the property should be downgraded to 2 stars so people like me don’t arrive expecting more 😂😂.
