We were left without a place to stay after traveling from the USA with young children, and I would tell people not to book here. No one could locate our reservation. One realtor said another family was expected too, and it seemed several people were advertising the same condo on different platforms without coordinating. We waited outside the residence for a key, but nobody came. We only reached the woman in charge by phone; she hung up and stopped answering. She cursed at us and told us to leave. We had to find somewhere else that night in a foreign city. The neighborhood also wasn’t good, and the photos were misleading. Update: The response to this review is disturbing. We arrived in Tangier with a local driver, and this is an apartment building with a security guard, not a receptionist. The guard called several people, and none could find our booking. My driver asked them to come meet us or let us send the reservation details, but they called him crazy. The woman on the phone was hostile, said she was so rich she didn’t need our money, and refused us access. Another couple I spoke to said they lived far away and couldn’t come either, so we were caught between you and two other people. The guard heard the calls and apologized, saying the situation was insane. You say you refunded me, but I only received a refusal. You also said we had stayed there, yet now say we were banned and couldn’t stay. Maybe you later found the reservation, but the disorganization had already caused this mess. I was on vacation and didn’t have time to sue, and getting the stay money back isn’t my goal. Keep the $306 if you need it more than I do. I just want people to know how you do business. You talk about being wealthy and not needing money, but that comes across as insecurity. I wish you the best.

The apartment was clean, nicely equipped, and seemed quite new. I’m writing mainly to ask you to thank Hamza and his wife. They were warm and professional, and their customer service adds real value to the property and helps keep the business going. Thank you.

Inside, the apartment was nice, but dealing with the host was a real letdown. We booked through Air bnb for apartment 17 on the 2nd floor, hosted by Nadia, who lives in Spain rather than at the building. She was pleasant at first, then turned on us when we reported that the lock was already broken. It looked like it had been damaged for some time, but she blamed us. We were stuck outside for 45 minutes waiting for her employee to come and reset the code manually. The lock can’t be changed remotely. If you stay here, be aware that she may blame you for damage that was there before you arrived. Who wants to stay somewhere with a faulty lock?

The balcony faces a construction site, not the sea shown in the listing photos. The pictures and the actual place don’t match. Soukayna, who’s in charge, was unfriendly, wouldn’t hear me out, and abruptly ended the call. I’ve opened a case with airbnb support and am posting this so other people don’t get misled.
