Hotel El Muniria

I didn’t feel safe in the area at all, and the room was filthy, with mold everywhere and moisture-blackened ceiling. I had a terrible experience and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I was traveling alone and felt fine here. The area might seem a bit sketchy, but it didn’t feel unsafe to me. The staff were great, and my room was very clean. The bathroom was okay, though one had a strange lock. It’s a simple, functional place I’d recommend for a short stay.

The view was stunning, everything was very clean, and the price felt more than fair for the quality. My friend and I planned to stay at El Muniria Hotel for two nights, but we added another night because we were having such a great time. The staff were so kind and respectful, and the service was excellent. We felt welcome and well looked after. Thank you for a lovely stay, I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Tangier.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the Wi-Fi was some of the fastest I’ve come across in Morocco. I upgraded before arriving, so I had my own shower and toilet. The room was clean and spacious, with plenty of storage, a desk and chair, and a large, comfortable queen bed with lots of pillows. There are food options nearby at all hours, and the hotel is close to the city center beach and local hotspots. I found it charming. I wasn’t bothered by the bar or its music, and it was quiet in the evenings. I slept fine with the window open overnight. Getting back up the winding hill from the bottom didn’t feel safe to me, but there’s a safer, well-lit route near the Rembrandt Hotel that leads back to Hotel Muniria. You’ll pass vagrants, drunks, and drug-users in the alley, but they seemed harmless and pleasant, and never made me feel unsafe on the walk back at night. The alley art is interesting. I’d stay here again.
