Hotel Astoria

The location was convenient, and once we got past an initial difficulty, the night staff were polite and helpful. But our rest kept getting interrupted by staff knocking around noon, even though we’d asked them not to during our vacation. The bathroom also flooded every time we used it, including after just using the sink. No one helped fix it. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but both the flooding and the repeated knocks need to be addressed.

We liked the location, and the night staff were polite. The repeated knocks around noon were a problem, though. We told staff we were on vacation and resting, but they kept coming to the door. The bathroom flooded whenever we used it, even if all we did was use the sink, and nobody offered a fix. The stay wasn’t terrible, but those disturbances and the flooding need to be sorted out.

The location is great, but it seemed like the hotel was under maintenance, which made the stay unpleasant. The bedsheets were dirty, the showers were cold, and there were some flies. They didn’t provide soap, though the towel was clean. I think one night would be okay, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

Fatimzahra at reception was so kind and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable. Samba looked after us at night when we needed something, and the cleaning staff did a great job too. I really liked the room and its facilities, and the location is GREAT 👍🏻. My wife, our little baby boy, and I had a perfect experience at Astoria hotel. See you soon, ASAP, next time we’re in Tangier.
