It's right on a wonderful beach, and the location is probably one of the best things about it. The dining, sitting and pool areas are great, and the price is very reasonable. The rooms and reception area feel dated.

Dinner was the highlight for me. I tried a few dishes and they were all delicious, so thanks to the chef and the staff. Breakfast, though, was the same each day, and the bar music was so loud one evening that I gave up and went back to my room. Hotel Tarik has a pool and direct beach access. From a beach-view room you get a lovely look toward Tangier city centre. The rooms were clean enough, the beds comfortable, but the doors and windows are old and don't work well, even though the walls have fresh paint. It's an older hotel that's being maintained, and I wouldn't choose to stay longer than 2-3 days. It's a long way from the centre, so having a car helps. There is free parking, which is handy. There are good and bad points, but the price feels fair for what you get.

I picked it mainly because the secure parking looked good, and there’s a pleasant park across the street. Getting into Tangier by public transport isn't so convenient, though. The bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk away if you don't mind walking. Internet worked decently. Food was okay, the pool was fair, and the service was decent enough. It's all pretty adequate, and good value.

The pool looked much better in the photos than it did in person, and breakfast was very basic. The room also let the place down: worn, uncomfortable bed, dated furniture, and it wasn't clean. Soap and towels felt cheap, too. The whole hotel seems old and overpriced for what it offers. I was also frustrated when security checked what I brought in and I wasn't allowed to bring food from an outside delivery. The staff weren't especially friendly either. I won't come back, and I don't think the price is justified.
