The town is so relaxing, and you can walk for kilometres along the beach without seeing anyone, sometimes having the whole beach to yourself. The museum is close by, and dining spots and the rest of town are easy to reach on foot. I’ve included a rooftop photo for the view. I arrived from Laayoune and was so impressed by the hospitality that I extended my stay twice. Everyone was genuinely friendly and accommodating.

I stayed for nearly eight months, though luckily I rented an apartment for that time. I’d leave the kitchen lights on overnight to keep the cockroaches away. The cleaners would steal personal items left out, like deodorant or drinks. A colleague got a parasite after eating at the hotel restaurant and had to fly home for medical care. The bill might change, with random items added, so check it carefully. The owner’s younger brother Rabie Aoudate is posting the good reviews on Google. Also, avoid bringing your girlfriend here because they’ll harass her at the hotel. I’d advise staying clear of this so called Hotel. It’s not good.

People were nice, and the hotel was clean. I found it comfortable enough for me. Just keep in mind this is a small, not wealthy city, so don’t expect luxury service.

For a short stay, this place is fine. It’s simple and not expensive, and the staff are friendly. Tarfaya doesn’t have many options.
