Hôtel El Yacouta

The service was bad, the rooms were poor quality, and there was no hot water.

We had a nice mountain view, and the blackout curtains helped us sleep peacefully and wake up rested. They even set up a small crib in the room for our infant, which was so thoughtful. The hotel is within walking distance of Marjane (large supermarket, like Walmart). The staff were exceptionally friendly, the bedroom was cozy, and breakfast was decent. We enjoyed taking a break during our trip and relaxing here. There’s no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.

This seems geared toward group tours staying a day or two while visiting the area, which is fine if that’s what you need. Just don’t expect a Ritz-Carlton or Holiday Inn. Some bathrooms have vents that work, some have vents with no switch, and some have no vent at all. The unvented ones may get mold after a shower, and the slow drainage leaves water all over the floor. It’s a bed for a couple of days, so I can’t complain too much.

A basic 3-star hotel in Tetouan, nothing special, but fine for sleeping. At least the renovated rooms are clean. The restaurant was okay, though we were travelling as a group and had food that wasn’t from the menu, and it wasn’t very good.
