No camel cheese, sadly, though we did have camel steak (pic). The oasis is an interesting, labyrinthine place to stay, and the hotel itself is an unusual, traditionally built kasbah. Our room was spacious and comfortable, just off the central dining and sitting atrium. The outdoor areas were fine, though there wasn’t much vegetation. A rowdy group somewhat spoiled our stay and probably contributed to the drop in food quality. Mohammed was very kind and brought extra tea and nibbles, which we appreciated. Rashid, his backup, spoke little French, so communication was difficult, and the owner was invisible.

The rooms have an old, really traditional Moroccan style, and the owner is an amazing person. The staff were so nice and helpful, and we had a wonderful dinner. It was an amazing experience, though a small fan might help on hot summer nights. Thanks for everything. V.

It’s an awesome guesthouse in the middle of nowhere, with a desert feel. If you have plenty of time and want to relax, it’s just the place for you. You get the comfort you pay for. I recommend it.
