Honestly, I've never had service like this. The waitress came over, put down the bottle of wine, and walked away.

We slept well in the quiet rooms, and the rooms had been refreshed since my visit a year ago, though there's still a strange layout with lots of wasted space behind the curtain. Getting between reception and the rooms was a real struggle without a lift. There was a porter, but I was injured, so it was especially difficult. The pool area is lovely and you can get alcohol there, but the water was quite cool in October. It was warmer than in November last year, though the changing-room shower is still only lukewarm and leaking. The plumbing also remains a problem, with discoloured water at first, just like last year. Dinner service had improved since my last visit, when we were ignored and ate very late while French-speaking customers were prioritised. I came down early for breakfast before a cycle ride, but they weren't ready.

I asked to change my booking several days ahead, but they wouldn't be flexible at all.

The room was comfortable, with a view of the garden and swimming pool, and all you could hear was birdsong. The setting is enchanting and clean, the surroundings idyllic, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Hammam and massage treatments are a lovely extra, though they cost more. Special thanks to Mohamed, who helped sort out a few problems with my baggage and was always available when I needed help. Highly recommended.
