Horizon one bedroom apartment NS

The apartment itself is beautiful, and I’d consider staying again if the internet were fixed. I work remotely, though, and the connection barely worked. I spent much of my day waiting for pages to load and apps to restart, which was incredibly frustrating. Check-in was a mess too. The Hotels.com app showed a different location, the address I was given led somewhere else on the map, and I waited hours without a response. I understand the app says to contact the property manager 24 hours ahead, but they already had my booking and knew I was coming. I expected them to send the information needed to find the place and check in, and they didn’t. It’s also very inconvenient without a car. I’ve reviewed lots of places and I’m being honest: the apartment is lovely, but the bad internet and poor communication made this a terrible stay.

The host was wonderful, and the apartment had everything we needed. The view was great too, though the new buildings going up nearby are getting rather tall 😉

I wouldn’t recommend it. The entrance was a construction site, there was no staff, and the garage was reserved for employees. The pool was meant to be full but was empty. Inside, the curtains were dirty, the pillowcases and duvets were torn, and several things were broken, including the toilet seat. There wasn’t any cutlery, cookware, or pots and pans.

The building is beautifully constructed, with good materials used in the right places.
