We were 18 people, and during our arrival conversation with the owners, they reminded us every couple of sentences to keep quiet. The wife, who speaks English, seemed judgmental, and we felt singled out because of our group’s size and age. The following day the husband looked in our shopping bag, saw the beers, and mumbled something about calling the police or staying quiet since they hadn’t needed to call them so far. His English was limited, so we couldn’t make out much. At one point he also slammed one of our doors shut and told us to keep the doors closed all the time. We mostly stayed elsewhere and kept quiet while we were there. Other guests were louder than us, if anything, and the whole situation spoiled our stay. I’d read earlier reviews on Booking before posting, and this seems to be a recurring issue. The owner doesn’t accept responsibility in the replies and instead gets defensive. If you take payment for 18 people staying five nights, you have to expect they may be a little louder. Telling us to consider the other guests wasn’t fair. We were guests too, and paid more than everyone else combined. The apartment itself has problems as well. You can hear people washing dishes or showering, and the doors are loud. Our toilet seat was broken, and the place is quite far from anything in town.
