I broke my leg in a motorcycle accident, so unfortunately we couldn’t stay at the property we’d booked with such high hopes. We explained what happened and provided a valid medical reason, but the hotel still refused to give any kind of refund. They seemed concerned only about the money. The Hotels app also bears some responsibility, even if only a little. It should protect its customers in situations like this. With that kind of attitude, how good can a hotel really be?

The host went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, and was incredibly welcoming. My apartment at Elena Apartments in Budva was spacious, clean, and well furnished. The location was perfect, and I had an incredible stay.

The suite was clean and spacious, and the cleaning lady had done a fantastic job. Owner George and his family were friendly and helpful. This lovely little place is so well located, just steps from shops, the beach, the old town, and the bus station, and close to almost everything. I’d highly recommend staying here in Budva.

They came into our apartment while we were away, without our consent. They said it was because we’d hung clothes up to dry. There’d been torrential rain, and our clothes, including the baby clothes, were soaked. They then put our clothes outside in the pouring rain, so they wouldn’t dry. They may also have said we broke a rule by not checking out at 10 am. But a staff member we spoke with through Google translate said we could stay until noon. Transcript records are available. I’m not impressed at all.
