Apartments Fjondra

We had a cozy room with a kitchen, dishes, cups, an electric kettle, an electric cooker, and air conditioning. The location was quiet and convenient, and the staff were pleasant. The only downside was that we couldn’t use a washing machine.

The managers were very friendly and helpful. They don’t speak English, but they do know Russian. The place was clean, about five minutes from the beach, and there were several grocery stores close by.

The hosts were kind and available whenever guests needed them. Our apartment for two was comfortable and tidy, with a kitchenette, hotplate, enough dishes for quick meals, and free parking. Apartments "Fjondra" felt like good value to us, especially since we’ve spent many summers in Montenegro in both hotels and private accommodation. A short five-minute walk takes you to the beach, with only a small hill on the way, which matters a lot to me. Supermarkets, a bakery, bus station, restaurants, and cafes are all easy to reach from the pension. You can pick a beach with loungers for 15 to 20 Euros, a free stretch without furniture, or a beach bar where one drink gets you a chair and umbrella. Bečići beach is one of Montenegro’s biggest and most beautiful, with room to settle in without bothering anyone. The part I dislike is the heavy construction: rows of tall buildings and glass hotels along the beach, with no landscape design. Trends will pass, and a lovely coastal village could be left with only a few stone houses among colorful glass, neon signs, cheap decor, and concrete. What a shame.

The room is cozy, with a balcony, table, and clothes dryer. It also has air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi with decent speed, a wardrobe, and a mini kitchen with a fridge, stove, kettle, cookware, and dishes. There’s a shower and liquid soap. An iron, ironing board, and hairdryer are available for everyone to use in the hallway. Getting around on foot is convenient from Bečići, including walks to Sveti Stefan and Budva. The sea is about 200 meters away, a five to seven minute walk, and public transport is two minutes away. There are two 24-hour shops, a supermarket, Palma restaurant with reasonable prices, and a good bakery if you walk toward Rafailovići. Towels are changed and rooms cleaned every three days. There’s no shampoo or disposable slippers. If your room faces the mountain, you may hear the air conditioners humming until 1 a.m.; closing the windows reduces it. Those drawbacks didn’t outweigh the good points for me. Highly recommended.
