The room had several awkward issues. The wardrobe only had two reachable spare shelves, which isn’t acceptable for a room meant for two, and when opened fully its door hit the top lights. The soundproofing didn’t seem great either. There was also a pile of tiles at the end of the stairs by one exit, a tripping hazard if you weren’t careful. The outside wall of our room had a wet stain that left the wallpaper in terrible shape. The carpets seemed never to have been cleaned and appeared to attract ants. Even after I cleaned the bedside table repeatedly, I’d wake up to a couple of ants there almost every morning. Cleaning was only done when we asked. The promised tea set had a kettle that could only be plugged into a very low socket and glass cups with no handles. They eventually provided plastic and paper cups. I don’t recommend staying here, especially for a longer visit.

The host was helpful and great, and the location was good. Since it was low season, we were lucky to have parking. Our room at the back was quiet, though I can’t speak for the rooms facing the main street. One small suggestion: the bathroom tiles were gorgeous, but the shower floor tiles got really slippery with just a bit of water and soap.

We stayed for 7 days with 2 families. The hotel had recently been built, the rooms looked very good, and it was near the promenade, the central area, and the citadel. The bathroom smelled bad from the sewage, though. At first the receptionist didn’t take the room type we’d booked into account. I’d reserved king rooms with a double bed and a city view, but we were given small rooms without balconies, overlooking the noisy boulevard. I spoke to the agency later, and the rooms were changed.

I was worried about the rooms when I came with a tour group, but they turned out to be really spacious and nice. Old Town is about a 12-minute walk away, and there are bakeries and restaurants close enough to reach on foot.

Really quiet hotel, with good staff and parking. The room was so clean, 10 stars, and the beach is only a 10-minute walk away. Everything was perfect!
