Rooms Kuljic is in Budva, Montenegro, two blocks from the main street. Prices are 1-50 per day, payment is cash only, and euros are accepted. Wesley was a great host. He was always available with answers and useful advice, went out of his way to make our stay better, and even did our dirty laundry a couple of times. His hospitality rescued what would otherwise have been a zero rating. The rooms themselves were a mess. Springs from the beds dug into your back, the bathroom needed an upgrade, pipes stuck out of the wall, and the shower curtain was held together with plastic clips. There was nowhere to sit or work, and the tiny balcony was unusable. The place looked unclean from being so worn out. The in-room fridge left everything wet, and the Wi-Fi was too slow to use. No pool or breakfast.

It’s expensive. For the same money, you could stay somewhere better in the Canaries for half the price.

The location and price are the only good things. The owners don’t seem to care about the state of the apartments. Everything was dirty, the bathroom cluttered, the balcony furniture broken, and the mattress springs dug into my back. The kitchen only had enough utensils for one family even though at least 15 people live there, so you have to buy your own. When you meet the owner, they keep touching you from head to toe, hugging, fluffing you, stroking you, and kissing you goodbye. They smile and say everything is fine and there’s nothing they can do, saying that’s just their mentality.

The location was okay, but the accommodation fell short of what I expected. The hygiene was very poor: the rooms weren’t clean enough and had an unpleasant smell. Furniture and equipment were old and neglected, and the overall condition didn’t match the price. For that amount, guests should get somewhere much tidier and better.
