Even with the uphill walk, the view makes the location worth it. This was my first hostel stay, and I couldn't have chosen a better one. The staff looked after us and were really helpful, including with local tips. I also met lovely people from around the world, and the evening campfire was a great touch. The kitchen could be a little more organised. I'd come back.

Some of my best memories here are staying up late talking around the bonfire and meeting new friends. High Hostel is a lovely base in Budva, with great shared spaces, amazing staff, and a view that feels unreal. It really felt like heaven. Highly recommend.

Mogren Beach and the Old town are both within walking distance, and I had a great time here. The view is incredible once you get there. It's a short uphill walk, though you can take a cheap taxi for 5€ or less.

That view and the surrounding landscape make the uphill effort worthwhile. Just know that tackling the climb with a lot of luggage for the first time can be tough, though taxis cost about 5€. The hostel also has plenty of useful information, including QR codes for personalised tips. Sometimes there's a campfire and a grill. I've stayed at High Hostel several times and hope to return again. I really recommend it.

There was barely any room to socialise: the common area was tiny, noisy at night, and right beside the bedrooms. There seemed to be more volunteers than guests, and they mostly sat around there, which made the atmosphere feel strange. For a hostel that could hold more than 30 people, two toilets were never clean, and the cramped, dirty kitchen made it impossible for more than one person to cook. The place itself was dirty, and its location up a very steep hill was over 25 minutes from the old town. Some people seemed to live there permanently. After months of travelling, this was one of my worst hostel stays. I wouldn't recommend it.
