I made new friends here, which meant the most to me, and Natasha and Sveta are such warm, caring women. I was genuinely sad to leave. The hostel is right in the center of Budva Old Town and was the cheapest place I stayed this year in Budva. There’s a cafe directly outside, so getting to the entrance means walking past its tables, and it can make resting a little harder. Still, it isn’t chaotic or a mess, just somewhere to rest before heading back out. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

After midnight, she kicked me out when I turned down her offer to sleep on a sofa with the hosts. Finding somewhere else to stay at that hour was still better than remaining there. I’ve stayed in more than 40 hostels across Europe, and this was the worst. I’d sent my check-in time through WhatsApp and Agoda messages, and my booking had been confirmed, but on arrival the host said the rooms were full and wouldn’t give me one. She was very drunk, not ready to receive guests, and spoke no English. She wouldn’t try a translator and got angry. There were no lockers, and it was very noisy because they were drinking.

The place is basic, but with this price and its spot in Budva, it’s hard to go wrong. We’d been nervous after reading earlier reviews, but the hostel had everything we needed, and both hostesses were lovely.

The hostess was very nice, though she only speaks Russian. The rest of the hostel wasn’t properly cleaned, and the toilet stalls double as showers and were often pretty dirty. My friends also had to share one large single bed, which definitely wasn’t meant for two people. This hostel didn’t turn out to be what it claims.

The location was good, and we did make friends with people staying in the other rooms. The hostel itself wasn’t in great condition, and the price felt somewhere in the middle, neither cheap nor especially expensive. We stayed one night. When we first arrived there was nobody around, and after waiting about an hour to an hour and a half, Michel showed up naked, apparently just back from the sea, and had been drinking. He was quite rude at first and wouldn’t listen to what we were saying. We wanted two boys and a girl to stay in one room, but he wouldn’t allow it. We left, then came back because we couldn’t find another hotel.
