Luxury Hotel Riva - Budva

Parking was the main downside. The hotel has none of its own, and leaving a car nearby for the day can cost quite a bit. You also don't get a sea view from the rooms. Still, it was quiet, the rooms were roomy and comfortable, and breakfast downstairs was very good, with a few different menu choices.

The food was poor, bland, low quality, and didn't seem fresh, and the way guests were treated made things worse. Staff acted like we were a nuisance, with no real hospitality. We were also told on arrival that parking and breakfast cost extra, even though they were advertised as included. When we tried to leave early and get a refund, they refused and handled it very unprofessionally. My stay at Hotel Riva in Budva was a disappointment from beginning to end. It felt like a complete scam, and I'd strongly tell people to stay elsewhere. There are better hotels in Budva that deliver what they promise and treat guests respectfully.

We were three, and the room had enough space and was well equipped. The whole building had just been renovated, and the staff were really helpful. It was a lovely stay, right by the marine, with everything about a five-minute walk away.

The rooms are clean and new, and the hotel sits in a great central spot between the marina and old town. Just don't expect much service or interaction.
