What stood out most was how gracious and welcoming everyone at the hotel was, from reception right through to the owner. It felt like they were all doing their best to make us comfortable during our stay in Budva, and we’ll be back. Thanks so much! The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was good too.

The one good thing was reception. The staff spoke fluent English, perfect Serbian, as well as Russian and a bit of Polish. The restaurant, though, was poor. Breakfast and dinner kept serving the same food, and dishes were often empty. Sometimes the soup of the day wasn’t even warm. It might be more or less okay for a couple of nights, but after a week it was a nightmare. I’d tell people with allergies to avoid it because you never know what the ingredients are. No way I’d return!

The staff were amazing, and breakfast was good. It’s within walking distance of the beach. We took the kids to Metiteran hotel to use the swimming pools. Lovely view and great value for money.

We spent four nights at Lusso Mare. It’s a small, cozy, clean hotel with new rooms, really helpful staff, and delicious, good-quality food. The location is handy too, about two minutes from the bus stop and no more than five from the beach. It has everything you need for a peaceful holiday if you don’t like huge hotel “factories”.

The only real downside was parking. We had one small issue with dinner, but it was sorted out quickly. Apart from that, the people at Lusso Mare were wonderful and we had a fantastic experience.
