Don’t spend your money eating here, tourist or not. I ordered a Caesar salad with cold chicken and a side of pommes frites that weren’t fresh. When I asked the waiter to make a new batch, he took the plate and returned about five minutes later. The fries looked like they’d “also” fried the tomatoes, which were meant as decoration.

We were happy with the food and service. Breakfast was really good, especially the croissants, which I’d strongly recommend. They bring tea in a pot for everyone, and the waiters are cheerful, kind, and helpful. Thanks.

The food was below average both when we ate here in the morning and again in the evening. Prices are quite low, so you get what you pay for. The morning server was pleasant, but the evening service was the real problem. We sat ourselves, had to ask for a menu, then waited 20 minutes to be served. When I politely asked for help, the waitress said she couldn’t do anything because it was her colleague’s job. That colleague was wandering around and ignoring us. When we asked him to serve us, he got hostile and said we’d already asked his colleague the same thing. The low prices come with questionable service, and the reviews about it are right.

The view toward the old town is lovely, and the hotel is old but the cafe is beautiful. I had a sandwich and orange juice, and the staff were attentive and easy to talk to, especially Anđelka and Ranko. The cakes are nice too. Fantasia was my favorite, creamy and light. It was nicer outside, though, and they really should bring air conditioning into the bar.
