Hotel Tara

There are shops and places to eat just outside the hotel, which I loved. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was superb with a full range of choices. If you have the dinner buffet, there’s more than enough food and wine, all inclusive.

The rooms had some defects, but the front desk staff and managers were helpful and really service-minded, which felt above the usual. They even contacted a couple of places to help us plan tourist activities. I especially appreciated them returning the extra money the local post office had charged me. The receipt showed one amount, but the bank had taken more. They didn’t have to sort it out, and I hadn’t even asked, but they wanted me to feel good about my stay. That’s why I’m giving five stars.

We stayed as a family at the end of July 2025, in a spacious two-room suite with a living area, a shower bathroom and toilet, plus a separate extra toilet. Although the hotel was built in 2011, the room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Housekeeping came daily, with fresh towels and bed linen every day. The food was fresh and tasty, with enough choice and quantity. When the air conditioning gave us trouble, I called reception and a maintenance technician came and fixed it within 10 minutes. I’m also grateful to the reception team for keeping in touch after my wife accidentally left her bag with documents and money near the entrance as we were leaving. We couldn’t return, but they kept it safe and helped us arrange its collection. Thank you to all the staff for being helpful, honest, and so good with guests.

The villa was spotless, with cleaning every day, and the reception staff were always friendly and ready to help. I also thought the food was tasty and varied, including desserts and fruit, so I don’t agree with reviews calling it poor. The only other small drawback was the restaurant machine coffee. We went to the bar by reception for a good coffee and paid separately there. At check-in, we had to wait until 14:00 for our room, so we stopped at Aperitiv Bar. When I asked the woman there if they had a smoking area, her response felt unpleasant and unfriendly, as if I’d done something wrong. She seemed annoyed when we ordered, too. Maybe she was overworked, since I saw her working every day over the next six days. That was the only uncomfortable part of the stay. I’m giving five stars and hope the manager takes note of these little things and makes improvements. The place is designed for comfort, and I hope it keeps growing. 🌟🤍
