Slovenska Plaza Resort 4 Hotel

There are a couple of pluses: the playground was good and the food was OK. But the room, cleaning and Wi-Fi were poor. In my room at Kamelija C, the signal was weak. Sometimes closing the door was enough to lose the connection, and I couldn’t make video calls. Other blocks may be better, though many people complained about the same issue. The TV was unusable, and several lamps didn’t work. They didn’t refill the shower gel or soap, and the containers seemed to be just for decoration. The lavabo wasn’t cleaned.

Hotel Slovenska Plaža is a reasonable fit if you want to stay near Budva’s beach and old town, like the feel of a resort complex, and plan to spend most of your time at the beach, pool or exploring town. It’s less suited to someone expecting upscale boutique-hotel luxury. Service wasn’t always consistent, the room categories weren’t clear, and the value involved some trade-offs. For pristine, dependable service, very modern rooms and gourmet dining, you may want to consider somewhere with stronger reviews in those areas. I’d put the hotel around 3.5 to 4 out of 5 stars.

That beach really is stunning, and the staff were friendly. They even drove us to our room when we arrived. The rest of the stay was disappointing, though. We paid €1,000 per person and the value just wasn’t there. Meals lacked the quality and choice we expected for this class of hotel. Everything in the room worked, but the TV channels were poor and the Wi-Fi very weak. The walk to reception was long and awkward with luggage. We also found mold in the bathroom, a dirty floor, stale bed linen, and towels that were often unclean. Even after asking reception three times, our room was never cleaned properly.

The rooms were clean and the towels got changed daily. The restaurant staff were really nice and polite, too. The place feels like a little town, with a Greece vibe. My main gripe was the hygiene in the restaurant, especially the dirty tablecloths.
