Villa Danigo

The cats were the one bright spot for us; they’re very cute. Otherwise, this was just somewhere to sleep in Budva. We arrived at the guesthouse on September 10 and found it up on a hill, hard to get to without a car or motorcycle. Our room was on the garden level, with no view at all, which didn’t match the pictures. The bed was painful to sleep on, with springs pressing into our backs. The sheets had no elastic and kept gathering up, so we had to get out of bed at night to straighten them. An elastic sheet would have helped. Our backs hurt for three days. The room looked clean when we arrived, but after two days I asked Mr. Igor to clean it through Booking and left a note on the door. The only thing addressed was the uncomfortable bedding. They didn’t change the sheets, so I’m taking off another point. Is cleanliness understood differently here? We also had water from the balcony above us run straight onto our ground-floor apartment every day when it was washed. If that balcony gets cleaned daily, I wonder why we weren’t put upstairs. There was only a hair towel in the room. I asked Mr. Igor for a body towel and got a reply 16 hours later. The service was poor.
