Forza Mare

We reserved a table the day before and even stopped by the restaurant to confirm our names were on the list. When we arrived at the agreed time, our names had been crossed off and we were turned away. They don't seem to follow their own reservation rules. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place.

The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty to choose from, including mimosas, and the jacuzzi looking out over the bay was a lovely treat. Our room was spacious and quiet despite being on the first floor right by the breakfast area. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. There was also a window that opened a little, which helped dry our swimwear. We liked all the staff, but Darko at the desk really stood out. He was efficient, friendly, and helpful with our bags, taxis, and restaurant suggestions. Highly recommend.

The staff are what made our stay so special. They worked long shifts in the heat and kept smiling, always ready to help and go the extra mile. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye. The hotel itself is beautifully put together and exceptionally clean. It's a little way from the Old town, so we escaped the noise but could easily get a cab in to visit. Breakfast was brilliant: a continental spread plus a hot dish you could order. We often had lunch there too. It's not cheap, but at Forze Mare you get what you pay for. There are fast food options toward the old town, and you can borrow bikes and cycle down.

We paid €19 for what the menu called a burger, but got a lone beef patty on a plate. They had no burger buns, and that was literally all they served. Chips cost another €6. Calling this fancy or refined doesn't make it less of a rip-off, it's still just a burger patty. My partner's meal was bland and had a hair in it too. This restaurant is an overpriced tourist trap. Avoid it. We'd never return.
