A lovely spot, in a wonderful location.

The pool and fitness room look new and beautiful, and there are several kinds of massage at the spa, which is worth checking out. The jacuzzi is another story: there’s no rail, steps, or ladder, so getting down the half-meter drop means sitting and lowering a foot at a time. It feels dangerous. The hotel is old, with dated wooden furnishings that creak. The room is cramped and has no air conditioning. It gets very hot during the day, though it’s more comfortable by morning, so we had to sleep with the window open. At night, it’s easy to bump into something if you get up, and the bathroom is high and slippery, which makes getting in difficult for older people. The food is tasty and there’s a good selection. Service is slow, though, and there aren’t many staff for such a large dining room. If something runs out, it can take 10 minutes to bring more, while they’re also turning tables and cleaning.
