The walled town is about a mile away, but there’s a popular bakery at the end of the access road and Kafana Bokelj, with freshly cooked food, is about a five-minute walk. Both came in handy on the rainy day we had. We also used the pool a couple of days, and the apartment block caretaker was always around if anything came up. The host gave clear directions for finding and entering the place, stayed in touch during our visit, and helped sort out a transport issue we were having. The apartment was beautifully finished and felt like great value. The bed was comfortable, there was enough storage, and the curtains plus powered outside shutters made the bedroom completely dark. In the living room, my partner made good use of the large TV’s casting feature. Patio doors opened to a balcony with a little table and two chairs. Both rooms had effective aircon. The kitchen was well stocked, including complimentary items and washing up liquid. There was detergent under the bathroom sink for the washing machine, and an extractor fan kept the powerful shower from steaming up the mirror. The only things we’d change are the bowls, whose textured surfaces made eating from them awkward and noisy, and having proper patio cushions instead of taking them from the sofa.

I’m staying for five weeks in an Airbnb rental and really like the size of this one-bedroom, one-bath unit. The pool and the mountains behind it make a lovely view. It’s a quiet, residential area rather than a touristy one, with a bakery, cafe, restaurant, and small convenience store just around the corner. The IDEA grocery store is a 10-minute walk away, and the old town is another five minutes beyond it. The Blueline bus stops nearby once an hour.

The balcony has a fabulous view across the bay, and there’s free wifi and parking outside the building. It’s a five-minute drive to the old town. The host was very kind. Inside, it’s a modern apartment with a bit of luxury, a full set of kitchenware, a big seating area, two rooms, and two bathrooms. It can fit up to five people. We’d highly recommend it.

Srdjan and his family made us feel welcome and were really helpful. We had a lovely stay in a clean, comfortable apartment with plenty of privacy.
