Studios Belvi

The owner was lovely and helpful, communicated before we arrived, and gave us sweets and cute magnets. The studio was compact but absolutely fine, with good AC, a big fridge, crockery, and a small hot plate. It was centrally located and very clean. The noise didn't bother us, though we came prepared with earplugs. The bathroom was tiny even for two small women, but we managed. The main issue was the water pressure. We arrived on Independence Day after a long, sweaty overnight train ride from Serbia, and there was barely enough water to shower. The owner said it might be because the old town was busy. It improved a little over our three nights, but when lots of people seemed to be using water, especially early in the morning, hot water was only a trickle. We had to add lots of cold water to get better flow, which meant a cold shower. One morning, the little kitchen sink had just a few drips, not enough to fill water bottles, though it was much better ten minutes later. You need patience and flexibility. This might affect all properties in the old town, but it's something to know, especially if you have long hair or need longer showers. A suggestion for the owner: some tea bags, herbal or regular, and maybe a bottle of water for arrival would be useful. There was coffee but no tea. We'd brought refillable bottles and drank tap water, though our other places all provided tea, coffee, and two bottles of water on arrival. We'd stay again, keeping the water pressure in mind, and bring dry shampoo.
