Church bells ring regularly, and the view from the window adds to the atmosphere. It feels like a very authentic place to stay, though reaching it from some routes isn't especially easy.

The climb through steep, winding steps is a little awkward, but the window view makes it worthwhile. It's a charming, quirky little place, great for what we needed, with a very friendly owner and good value.

There are a couple of pubs just downstairs, handy for a quick drink. The place is spacious, very clean, has what you need, and gets good air circulation. Finding it can be confusing at first, but the location makes it worth the effort.

Being inside the old city walls puts the apartment close to shops and bars. But parking was listed among the facilities when I booked, and the studio had none when I arrived, so I paid an extra €40 for two days. I also expected a terrace, but there was only a small window in the roof.

Our host was very friendly and helpful, and even carried our big bags up the 87 steps. The accommodation is beautiful and the view is breathtaking, though the place is small, as you'd expect within the city walls. It was a bit hard to find, but take the steps to the right just past Nitrox and keep going to the top. Great location, and I'd highly recommend staying here.
